Day 1 - (Sunday):
Arrive at Armenia's airport (Eden Airport) where you will be met by a CAFE SOCIAL representative.
Depending on your arrival time we will have breakfast, lunch, or dinner, then we will bring you to the hotel.
NOTE: All breakfasts will be hosted at the hotel.
Day 2 - (Monday): El Agrado-Filandia-Sugar Cane-Refugio.
What better way to wake up in Colombia than with a Coffee Farm Tour! Please be in the hotel lobby at 8:45 am.
The transportation company will pick up the group at 8:45 am to go to a Coffee tour experience at El Agrado coffee farm. You'll have a professional coffee tour with a Certified engineer from the Colombian Coffee Federation. You will learn about planting, harvesting, the latest research about processing coffees, roasting, and more.
We'll have lunch at the restaurant Helena Adentro or Jose Fernando with typical fresh, local food located in the colonial coffee village of Filandia.
The Village of Filandia is one of the most authentic and typical coffee towns in Colombia with many retail craft shops with local artists and painters. Filandia has been the main setting for one of the most successful Latin American soap operas, “Cafe con Aroma de Mujer". Sugar cane tour in Filandia. We will have dinner at El Refugio Mirador Cafe.
RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS DAY: Please, bring or wear a light-colored long-sleeve shirt or bring a sunblock protector and pants (sometimes the sun in the mountains can be strong). It is important to wear pants and hiking shoes. Also bring a jacket and an umbrella or rain jacket (The weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, but the weather usually is between 65 F to 80 F. This activity involves a slow, easy hike with regular stops).
Day 3 - (Tuesday): Salento-Bambu or Willys-Cocora-El Cortijo-Dar Papaya or Boludo.
Please be in the hotel lobby at 9:00 am.
The transportation company will pick up the group at 9:00 am.
We will drive to the Cocora Valley, which is a stunning landscape dominated by 60 meters tall Wax Palms, deep in the mountains of the Colombian coffee region. We will walk in the streets of Salento Village with many local, artisanal artist retail stores and a short hike in the Cocora Valley. (Disney inspiration for the Oscar winner's animated movie “ENCANTO”)
The Village of Salento has amazing Andes Mountains views and was declared by UNESCO as a COFFEE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE - INTANGIBLE VALUE TO MANKIND.
Lunch at Casa del Willys or Bambu restaurant in Salento with beautiful views of the Andes.
Afterward, the group will visit Cafe Social’s very own coffee farm, El Cortijo, where we source our excellent coffee beans for our coffee shop and supermarkets in the USA.
We will have dinner at City Pub or Dar Papaya, a very well-known restaurant on the north side of Armenia
RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS DAY: Please, bring a hat or sombrero, sunblock protector, and an umbrella or rain jacket. (This activity involves a slow, easy hike with regular stops).
Day 4 - (Wednesday): Balsaje-Malaga or Mirador de Tapao
Please be in the hotel lobby at 8:30 AM. We will drive up the La Vieja river for a relaxing ride on a bamboo platform (balsaje) downriver. Dinner at Malaga in Pueblo Tapao with a beautiful view of the lower slopes of the Andes Mountains.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THIS DAY: Please, bring a swimsuit, hat or sombrero, sunblock protector, a change of clothes, and a towel.
Depending on the weather, this activity can be switched to the Pijao-Buenavista activity on day 6.
Day 5 – (Thursdays): Horse Ride-El Carmelo or Rancho Eden or El Mirador de Tapao-Choco Tour at la Fonda.
Please be in the hotel lobby at 8:20 am.
We will drive to El Carmelo Horse Riding for a relaxing horse ride where we will see beautiful views of the mountains and valley of the Andes. We will have lunch at Rancho Eden or El Carmelo. Choco Tour and dinner at La Fonda then back to the hotel.
RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS DAY: Please, bring a hat or sombrero, a sunblock protector, and a rain jacket. Please, wear long sleeves shirt, pants and hiking shoes.
Day 6 – (Friday): Cordoba-San Alberto-Buena Vista-Pijao-Concord(lunch)-Malaga(dinner)
Please be in the hotel lobby at 9:30 am. We'll drive up into the mountains to visit three colonial Spaniard and Indigenous heritage villages of Cordoba, Buena Vista, and Pijao where we'll experience their coffee in typical coffee shops with incredible views of coffee plantations and the central Andes panorama.
This region is also a UNESCO COFFEE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE. Coffee at CAFE SAN ALBERTO and lunch at Cafe Concord or Rio Azul in Buenavista and dinner at Malaga.

Day 7 – (Saturday):
Departure. We will take you to the airport.
