ITINERARY

Arrive at Armenia's airport (Eden Airport) where you will be met by a CAFE SOCIAL representative.

Depending on your arrival time we will have breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Rancho Eden Restaurant, then we will bring you to the hotel.

NOTE: All breakfast will be hosted at the hotel.
What better way to wake up in Colombia than with a Coffee Farm Tour! Please be in the hotel lobby at 9:00 am.

The transportation company will pick up the group at 9:00 am to go to Los Secretos del Carriel Coffee Experience. You'll have a professional, bilingual coffee tour where an on-farm barista brews the freshest coffee you can get. You will learn about planting, harvesting, and processing different types of coffees and more.

We'll have lunch at the Restaurant Sexto Sentido Autor's Kitchen with typical fresh, local food located in a small town Quimbaya. Afterward, the group will visit the colonial coffee village of Filandia.

The Village of Filandia is one of the most authentic and typical coffee towns in Colombia with many retail craft shops with local artists and painters. Filandia has been the main setting for one of the most successful Latin American soap operas, “Cafe con Aroma de Mujer.” We will have dinner in Filandia at the restaurant Elena Adentro where we can see a beautiful sunset.

RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS DAY: Please, bring or wear a light-colored long-sleeve shirt or bring a sunblock protector and pants (sometimes the sun in the mountains can be strong). Also bring a jacket and an umbrella or rain jacket (The weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, but the weather usually is between 55 F To 85 F and no rain. This activity involves a slow, easy hike with regular stops and a refreshment).
Please be in the hotel lobby at 9:30 am.

The transportation company will pick up the group at 9:30 am.

We will drive to the Cocora Valley, which is a stunning landscape dominated by 60 m tall Wax Palms, deep in the mountains of the Colombian coffee region. We will walk in the streets of Salento Village with many local, artisanal artist retail stores and a short hike in the Cocora Valley.

The Village of Salento has amazing Andes Mountains views and was declared by UNESCO as a COFFEE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE - INTANGIBLE VALUE TO MANKIND.

Lunch at a countryside Cocora Valley restaurant that has one of the most beautiful views of the Andes.

Afterward, the group will visit Cafe Social’s very own coffee farm, El Cortijo, where we source our excellent coffee beans for our coffee shop and supermarkets in the USA.

We will have dinner at Basto Restaurant, a very well-known restaurant on the north side of Armenia.

RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS DAY: Please, bring a hat or sombrero, sunblock protector and an umbrella or rain jacket. (This activity involves a slow, easy hike with regular stops) We'll have lunch at the Restaurant Sexto Sentido Autor's Kitchen with typical fresh, local food located in a small town Quimbaya. Afterward, the group will visit the colonial coffee village of Filandia.
Please be in the hotel lobby at 8:30 AM. We will drive up the La Vieja river for a relaxing ride on a bamboo platform (balsaje) down the river. Dinner at Mirador de Tapao with a beautiful view of the lower slopes of the Andes Mountains.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THIS DAY: Please, bring a swimsuit, hat or sombrero, sunblock protector, a change of clothes and a towel.

Depending on the weather, this activity can be switched to the Pijao-Buenavista activity on day 6.
Please be in the hotel lobby at 8:20 am.

We will drive to El Carmelo Horse Riding for a relaxing horse riding where we will see beautiful views of the mountains and valley of the Andes. We will have lunch at Rancho Eden then we will drive to Montenegro for the Zip Line activity, passing through coffee and bamboo fields. Dinner at Café Quindío then hotel.

RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS DAY: Please, bring a hat or sombrero, a sun-block protector and an umbrella or rain jacket.
Please be in the hotel lobby at 9:30 am. We'll drive up into the mountains to visit two colonial Spaniard and Indigenous heritage villages of Buena Vista and Pijao where we'll experience their coffee in typical coffee shops with incredible views of coffee plantations and the central Andes panorama.

This region is also a UNESCO COFFEE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE. Coffee at CAFE SAN ALBERTO and lunch at Cafe Concord or Rio Azul in Buenavista and dinner at the hotel.

RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS DAY: Please, bring a hat or sombrero, a sun-block protector and an umbrella or rain jacket. (This activity involves a slow easy hike with regular stops).

FLIGHT ROUTES TO ARMENIA, QUINDIO COLOMBIA

1. Easy, Direct, And Faster With Spirit Airlines From Fort Lauderdale, Florida To Armenia's Airport. We Will Pick You Up At The Armenia Airport (El Eden Airport). (Recommended to spend a night round-trip at Fort Lauderdale).

2. From many major cities in the US to Bogota (Via United, Delta, American, or Avianca Airlines), Then to Armenia, Quindio (Eden Airport). We will pick you up at Eden Airport in Armenia. (Example: Chicago-Botoga-Armenia via Avianca Airlines)

3. Miami to Pereira. Only 55 minutes From Pereira City to Armenia. We will pick You up at The Pereira Airport as well (Matecaña Airport).

4. From Chicago to Bogota then Bogota to Armenia or Bogota to Pereira.

5. From Chicago to Fort Lauderdale then to Armenia with Spirit Airlines.

6. New flight starts on December 2022 from Miami to Panama City to Armenia with Copa Airlines.

7. Expedia.com and look for flights from  Madison or Chicago to Armenia, Quindio.  Some of those flights stop in Newark then Bogota then Amenia. (Recommended to spend a night at Bogota at the Courtyard Marriot hotel that is next to the airport)
