Best Quality

We provide excellent quality coffee that brings people together in social interaction to understand, respect, and enjoy each other, which can generate peace in the world.

Our coffee beans are hand selected for size and quality. Our coffee will yield a lively, rich, and aromatic cup.

WHY CAFE SOCIAL HAS THE BEST QUALITY COFFEE.

We follow the strictest regulations for  quality as determined by the Colombian Coffee Federation (FNC) so that our customers are guaranteed a quality product.

The highest quality and best coffee comes from Arabica coffee trees.  Cafe Social coffee, grown in Armenia, Quindio, is Arabica coffee.

Only the red berries are picked as the color indicates ripeness.  Handpicking the coffee is the only way to really ensure that the mature berries are selected.

WEATHER, FERTILE SOIL & ALTITUDE

The comibation of the high altitude, fertile soil and specific weather conditions of the Andes makes Cafe Social coffee so special.

Colombian coffee is washed several times during the process from plant to cup.  Once the red berry is removed from the bean, the coffee beans are washed several times before they are dried.  Washing the beans is esential in producing a smooth, bold cup of coffee.

The cleaning, storage and roasting process is regulated by the FNC.

SELECTION & SUPERVISION

Beans pass along a coveyor belt where any defects are removed by hand.

Once the best green coffee beans are selected,  the FNC decides if the coffee is good enough to roast.

Because green coffee beans  can only be stored for a month, we are always roasting freshly picked coffee.  We only import small order so that our coffee doesn't stay long in storage.

 LABORATORY

Once the beans have been approved by the FNC, the coffee is then roasted by a professional certified roaster who has been authorized by the FNC.

The roasted coffee is taken to the laboratories of the FNC.

FINAL TESTING & APPROVAL FROM THE FNC.

FNC agents analyzed and "cup" the coffee before it is packed to be exported internationally.

The FNC has very high quality standards and before approval, checks for water content, aroma, acidity, smoothness and flavor.  Finally, the coffee is ready to be packed and distribuited to our happy customers.

Article from the Colombian Coffee Federation (FNC)!

All Colombian Coffee is 100% mild washed Arabica, thus making Colombia the biggest producer of high quality coffee in the world. The reputation of our coffee is not limited to the coffee specie we grow in Colombia or to its post harvesting processes. Our coffee is also known all over the world due to the environmental conditions of Colombia, and the quality control and support systems that have been designed by the Colombian coffee growers. They make sure Colombian Coffee always meets the quality needed for the consumers around the world. These combined elements ensure that Colombian Coffee is unique.

Colombian Coffee is also the result of the hard work of over 563,000 small coffee families owned by independent coffee growers. They have organized themselves through the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) and have agreed to self-imposed quality control standards that are carefully followed. Together, Colombian coffee growers have built a collective commitment to quality. These are the reasons why Colombian Coffee, or Café de Colombia, is protected with a Denomination of Origin, a certification mark or Protected Geographical Indication in several countries.
